Travelling by car / coach

There is no parking available on-site at Techniquest for visitors, however there are several car parks nearby.

Q-Park (8-minute walk)

We are pleased to be able to offer all of our visitors discounted parking with Q-Park, our preferred parking partner. Q-Park operates the Cardiff Bay car park in Pierhead Street, which is around 8 minutes walk from Techniquest.

We have agreed a special parking discount rate for our customers of 15% off all pre-bookings.

Other car parks (less than 3-minute walk)

Alternatively, there are closer pay-and-display car parks on Stuart Street and Havannah Street. Please do not park on Havannah Street itself.

Travelling by train

There are regular train services from Cardiff Queen Street to Cardiff Bay Station — Techniquest is just a 10 minute walk from Cardiff Bay Station.

Travelling by bus

Take the regular ‘Baycar’ service number 6 for a direct link to the bay from the city centre, or services 1, 2 and 8 for links to other areas nearby. Other bus routes either stop nearby or next to Techniquest — please see Traveline or other route-finding services to view all available options.

Travelling by bike

Techniquest is located near to the start of the Taff Trail. We provide facilities for bicycle storage by the main entrance. Techniquest cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to bicycles that are stored here.
